It is about 40% pure olive oil (great for skin), coconut oil, palm oil (sourced from trusted supplier; sustainable resource, not harmful to the natural environment and wild life), castor oil, Hawaiian Kukui nut oil, natural &#038; organic Jojoba oil, pure essential oils, Organic Hawaiian honey, grapefruit seed extract, and Aloha.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t\t<li class=\"faq-item\" id=\"731\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"faq-question\" id=\"731\">How do you make soap?<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"faq-answer\" rel=\"731\"><p>I use Cold Process method. The mixture of oil is heated to about 110 degree F and mixed with Lye water. Soap base is scented with pure essential oils and colored with natural clay and minerals. Put in the wooden mold and left insulated for 24 hours. Soap is cut and cured and dried for at least 4 weeks under the warm shade of Hawaiian Sun before packaging.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t\t<li class=\"faq-item\" id=\"732\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"faq-question\" id=\"732\">Isn&#8217;t lye in the soap harmful to skin?<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"faq-answer\" rel=\"732\"><p>Soap is made with oil, water, and lye (made from lime stone and sea water).  Lye is highly alkaline but it is the indispensable part of soap itself.  The amount of lye in the soap is carefully calculated and formulated to just the right amount so that it won&#8217;t hurt our skin.  Our natural skin&#8217;s pH is slightly acidic, so we need soap which is alkaline to clean our skin.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t\t<li class=\"faq-item\" id=\"733\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"faq-question\" id=\"733\">Is your soap good for sensitive skin?<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"faq-answer\" rel=\"733\"><p>Yes. My soap will be soft when it becomes thin, however, it won&#8217;t melt or break down easily. You can use soap bags or organza bags to keep the smaller soap in so you can use all soap and don&#8217;t waste any.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t\t<li class=\"faq-item\" id=\"743\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"faq-question\" id=\"743\">What is the shelf life of your soap and other products?<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"faq-answer\" rel=\"743\"><p>It is about 1 year from purchase. Soap may shrink and scent may go away as time passes, but it is perfect to use way after 1 year. Older soap is actually milder. Other products such as lip balms, salves, and facial serum are the best to use up within a year.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t\t<li class=\"faq-item\" id=\"744\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"faq-question\" id=\"744\">Can I wash my face with your soap?<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"faq-answer\" rel=\"744\"><p>Yes. It is perfect as shampoo soap. I use castor oil in the formula, which makes good amount of lather for your hair. Kukui nut oil conditions and nourishes our skin. Use your hand to wash. You can also make soapy sudsy water in a bucket and pour the water over the dog and wash her\/him. It won&#8217;t suds like commercial shampoo, but it is enough to clean your dog&#8217;s coat. It doesn&#8217;t strip away dog&#8217;s natural essential oil.
